Over the holiday break many students saw Inside Out, from Pixar. Have you seen it?
Inside Out is a cleverly animated movie that does more than just entertain... it provides children (and adults!) with an opportunity to think about the way they think and to recognise the powerful impact of our self-talk (the little 'voices in our heads').
This week we've used viewfinders, zooming in on the central emotion-based characters Joy, Fear, Anger, Disgust and Sadness to create our 'Inside Out' art with watercolour resist. Although viewfinders can be a bit tricky to get used to, they are a very useful tool for finding interesting and unusual compositions within existing photographs or drawings. Well done everyone!
